Columbia County, FL | New Driveway Application

Let's start by locating the parcel. We will do this in 3 steps.

  • Before starting: Be sure and have an electronic copy of your site plans or engineering files.
  • Step 1: Locate the property by clicking the green button that say "Step 1: Click to locate property
  • Step 2: Draw the DRIVEWAY or ENTRANCE ROAD. The drawn driveway should be a simple line and not an outline. Start by clicking close to the existing road outside of the parcel and continue into the parcel up to where the driveway ends. Double click on the last point to finish.
  • Step 3: Complete the application and submit it. Finally, comfirm your application by clicking on the link emailed to you.

Application Submission

Once confirmed, Building and Zoning and Public Works will begin the review process and may notify you for further information.


  I understand that the issuance of a Right-of-Way Access/Driveway permit does not mean that my property is buildable pursuant to the Columbia County Land Development Regulations. I also agree that the information provided is accurate and correct to the best of my knowledge.


  I understand that the failure to stake and flag my driveway entrance - even on existing driveways - prior to initial inspection may result in a failed inspection and a re-inspection fee of $75.00.


  Completion of this permit binds the applicant to specific rights and privileges of the permittee as described in the Columbia County Land Development regulations.


  If at any time, the above information is found to be inaccurate or changes, the permit will required to be updated, and additional improvements within the County’s right of way may be required.

A single line should be drawn from the other side of access road, intersecting the road, and across the parcel leading up to the address.


Incorrect

The driveway crosses two parcels and doesn't connect to the road.

Incorrect

The driveway is drawn as an outline and not a single line.

Correct

The driveway is drawn from the roadway, crossing the parcel and up to where it ends.
