Major Job Function
This is highly skilled work installing and maintaining electronic traffic control devices, traffic counting devices, and other traffic-related equipment.
Training and Experience
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Experience: High School education or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma plus three (3) years working with electronic and electrical work, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience in commercial wiring, power distribution (power lines) or automotive electrical work. Computer experience is required.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSES/MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
Within one (1) year from the date of hire, completion of I.M.S.A. Traffic Signal Technician Level I Traffic Signal Technician Certification and State of Florida Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate Certificate is required.
