| Coordinate grant
activities for the Board of County Commissioners |
Columbia
County is dependent upon grants to fund important programs offered by
various departments. It is
the responsibility of the Community Services Department to monitor these
grants to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations.
Further, the Community Services Department researches new grant
opportunities and assists staff in preparing grant applications.
The Community Services Department also manages/serves as the county
contact for various grants, as needed.

the Private Road Assessment Program |
Columbia
County offers the Private Road Assessment Program to assist residents of
private roads with upgrading/maintaining these roads. Columbia County Ordinance No. 2000-2
addresses the procedures for
the program. Questions

the Special Assessment Indigency
Program |
Columbia
County offers the Special Assessment Indigency Program to assist qualified
homeowners with the payment of special assessments charged for fire,
rescue and solid waste services.
